Ava in the Dark's debut 'DELETE US FOREVER EP' landed a couple of days ago on 18th December, and has already received a healthy dose of attention from radio, blogs and listeners!

Leading up to the release, vocalist Kiera and Bassist Tommie recorded a live session + interview with BBC Music Introducing West Yorkshire (video coming soon) which was played on their feature show with Emily Pilbeam on BBC Radio Leeds. They also played a stripped back, Christmassy, live piano version 'Delete Us Forever' recorded literally from their lounge (video also coming soon)...

The first 2 singles 'Delete Us Forever' and 'Affections' have had 60ish radio plays between them from BBC Radio Leeds, BBC Radio Wales, Amazing Radio, XS Manchester and Student Radio to name a few since their release 25th Sept and 11th December and 'Delete Us Forever' was chosen as one of

“Such a slick sound on this, if you like Pale Waves, you’ll like this!”

-Emily Pilbeam, BBC Music Introducing West Yorkshire

“There’s something deliciously old school about this”

-Adam Walton, BBC Radio Wales "So anthemic, such brilliant production, and one of those records that feels like it’s been around for years and years, it’s just SO good, love it, absolutely love that, really catchy, got some kind of forlorn nostalgia to it"

Charlie Ashcroft, Amazing Radio

'Delete Us Forever' made it onto BBC Introducing Emily Pilbeam's Fave Uploads of 2020 So Far in October.

The blogs went a bit crazy about 'Delete Us Forever'...

"The next name to be added to the city’s role of musical honour will be Ava In The Dark, a band who’s name is sufficiently beguiling to have me wanting to like them before I’ve heard a single note.”

"One word: WOW! If your blood doesn’t boil here, fire your doctor, change your meds and come back.

Don’t delete this band. Save them right now, like them, love them, embrace them, share them with your friends. Listen to Ava In The Dark on repeat in your bedroom, in your car, in your favorite pub, just everywhere, and you’ll smile all day long. -Turn Up The Volume “‘Delete Us Forever’, that’s the one thing you won’t be doing anytime soon.”

“A refreshing single that nudges the 80s era, Ava In The Dark have secured a sound that’s entirely their own.”
